“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved ."
Salvation is a free gift of God available to all thanks to Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross and his bodily resurrection. The Bible teaches us that anyone who confesses their sin can find forgiveness and a newness of life- in other words: salvation. Receiving this free gift, and beginning to align yourself with the Bible (in how we act and think) is the beginning of living a Christian lifestyle.
“For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”
To be a Christian is to be "Christ-like”. Although none of us is perfect, our goal is to become as much like Jesus as we can. By reading our Bibles we can learn how God thinks and how our lives should be lived.
While we are only sinners saved by grace, our hope is in a perfect God who has the power to change any life.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
